Welcome to the latest episode of the Stupid Sequels Podcast! Our guest is Sarah Hicks and we are reviewing The Lion King 2: Simbas Pride. Falling back into familiar territory for our favorite fan, this month we tackle the follow up to Disney’s six time Oscar winner, The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride. The songs are more laughable then inspirational and the character fall flatter then the Pridelands. With too many wacky minions and not nearly enough Elton John, this sequel had us running for the elephant graveyard, where all the good villas songs happen. We find truly terrible movies and give them all the attention they don’t deserve. ?Each episode we’ll discuss exactly what made such a horrible sequel from casting to budget to just plain bad writing. While we all love a great movie there’s something just a little more fun about watching a seriously stupid sequel. Now while there are plenty of awful sequels out there we have a few guidelines about the kind of movies we’ll be reviewing. We’re talking about direct to video, made for tv, never appeared in a theatre sequels. The ones the studios gave up on before they even started. Our logo is designed by Nicole Wiseman @NicWise. Our sound engineer is Francis Gacad. Our theme song is “The World At Large” by Dan O'Connor at DanoSongs.
