Research shows that higher neural activity is linked to shorter lifespans. We can't turn our brains off, so how can we find periods of lower neural activity in a world where we are constantly stimulated? Are certain types of thoughts more harmful than others for draining our brains, and if so, how can we (if possible) avoid them? Why does our society still value constant neural activity as a measure of success and view regenerative time as a waste? Welcome to the land of no easy answers...
