George Dreyfus was born in Germany and had a comfortable, cultured childhood until he fled Germany in 1939. He continued to study music in Australia and started his career as a bassoonist in the J. C. Williamson company. He soon took up composition: chamber music and opera as well as popular film and television music. His music has been performed and received awards in Germany and Australia. George discusses his life and music with Kiera Stevens on this episode of Reflections.
