We are so excited to be starting our new season titled: ‘Onipa’a. This Hawaiian word means steadfast/resilient and was used to describe the last reigning Hawaiian sovereign Queen Lilioukalani, as she unjustly was overthrown by mercenaries backed by the United States Government and was placed on house arrest. As she endured the hardship, she made hard choices that kept her people safe instead of fighting for her right as the Hawaiian Queen. She never saw justice, and for the rest of her life endured hardship while keeping her values and still making a difference for her people. Host, Kelsey, was so inspired by the Queen after reading many books and even excerpts from the Queen’s Journal. As Kelsey is on a mission to inspire people to walk in purpose and passion, pushing through trials and tribulations is part of doing extraordinary things. After the pandemic, depression, suicide, suffering, hardships, relational issues are on an all-time high. If you are feeling stuck in life, in walking in your purpose, in supporting someone who is going through a difficult time, this season is for you.
