We’ve all heard about “strengths-based” assessment, and some of us have applied these principles to our work in private practice. But what does it look like in the school setting? My guest today, April Rehrig, used the lessons she learned from over 20 years as a teacher and school psychologist to create a student-focused, collaborative educational advocacy firm. These are just a few areas that we talk about:

  • The similarities and differences between IEP coaches, attorneys, and advocates
  • How to connect assessment results to IEP goals and 504 accommodations
  • How to have better IEP meetings
