It's Sunday, June 21, 2015 and today is Summer Solstice Day.

While most are celebrating Father’s Day, this day also marks the Summer Solstice and therefore the first official day of summer in the United States. It occurs either on June 20, 21, or 22 every year when the top of the sun’s arc across the sky (it’s zenith) reaches its northernmost point, as the northern hemisphere leans closest to the sun.

Basically, the sun just decided, “That’s close enough, Canada!”
