As men one of the things we often shy away from but has a great effect on our disposition and well being is our mental health.
In this 5th Episode of the Total Man Podcast, I sat with Tobi Adelaja to talk about mental health as it concerns men, and how men can best manage it.
Some of the key points Tobi shared are:
1. Why Mental Health is a big deal
2. The correlation between your food and mood
3. The connection between men and their mental health
4. Becoming Self aware as a man
5. Identifying and Engaging in things that makes you happy and delightful
6. Warning signs for Professional support and many more
Tobi Adelaja began his career with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation trust, gaining unparalleled experience in mental health. He has extensive background in eating disorder, dementia care and adult acute mental health. Tobi is an active member of the Royal College of Nursing, Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Tobi is currently working as a Clinical Lead for First Response Service and Ambulance Service as a Mental health Joint Response Service. He is involved in key clinical decision making within the team to give patient the best quality of care and provides support for his colleagues in making timely decisions with patients in crisis.
Tobi is married to Ibukun Adelaja and blessed with two wonderful boys.
