In this episode of the podcast I talk about why it’s important to use big trailer hits in your trailer music.

This goes back to something I am always saying to students, “Trailer music is about character, build, and impact”. Yes, you guessed it, these hits take you one step closer to getting that impact that you need.

Why do you even need impact?

We are dealing with stories. These stories are usually set against a larger world. We as composers are representing these stories and struggles in our music so we also have to give the viewers/listeners a sense of these large tales. These big hits supply the sense of something bigger. Something larger than life.
