The DVD box looks like The Walking Dead, it stars Sig Haig, Malcom McDowell, Corey Feldman and Lew Temple who you may remember as one of the prisoners from The Walking Dead season 3, and the subtitle is The Walking of the Dead. I shit you not. They make such a big thing of Temple's casting that there is even a blood splat at the bottom of the cover containing the phrase Starring Lew Temple from The Walking Dead. Is this The Walking Dead? Is it fuck?
This is an 80 minute nightmare. The editor clearly has ADHD as no scene lasts more than a minute. Hundreds of quick cuts are edited in between scenes too. Random shit, and zombies running, and the weather, aerial shots of cars. All nonsense. It will make your head hurt as it is like a TikTok movie.
McDowell is in it for 5 minutes, Feldman and Haig for one or two.
This is a story that isn't original, didn't need to be told, and is told badly. After Hurricane Katrina a nefarious drug company supplies the depressed population with a drug (Zombex) to help them. Personally, I would say don't ever accept a drug with part of the word Zombie in it. The company is in cahoots with the government (obvs) and need to get the "cure" out of New Orleans to a base (where Haig, Feldman and McDowell are) as there is a no fly zone.
And so Lew Temple, did you know he was in The Walking Dead, two short shorts and boob tube wearing supposed security specialists and a square jawed squinty Lothario head from one random place to another where they end up getting drunk and partying loudly until the zombies arrive.
It was awful. If you have the attention span of a gnat or you are on a three day speed binge then this one is for you.
2.5/10
