Jim Dorschel is semi-retired. He does financial services consulting and teaches a class on personal finance at Escondido Adult School in Escondido, CA. He is also a member of the Valley Center Kiwanis Club. The club performs service work geared to the children in Valley Center, CA.
More importantly, he has been married to his wife, Penny for more than 32 years, and they raised twin sons; Brad and Keith. On August 16, 2016, Keith committed suicide, changing the lives of everyone in his family.
In this episode, Jim talks frankly about what happened, and about some of the lessons learned, as well as how to go forward in life after an event of this magnitude.
