This episode we are talking with Courtney Thompson. A native of Washington, she was part of a national championship team at UW in 2005. She's played professionally in Puerto Rico, in Europe, and most recently, in Brazil. She was a member of the team that won the silver medal in the 2012 London Olympics, and she's working now to make the roster for Rio. We talk to her about her recent season in Brazil and what it was like to play for Bernardinho, perhaps the most well-known and most successful coach in the world. We also talk about the pressure and the competition to make an Olympic roster, and what it's like in the gym right. Finally, she tells us about her foundation - Give it Back - and what she's doing to promote volleyball, to teach young women about competition and life, and to raise money for charity. She's a person of tremendous character, and has had a remarkable career arc - she truly sets the standard for what's possible with the right mindset and work ethic. Enjoy the show!
