In this episode of The Warrior Podcast, I speak with Steve Siler from the organization Music for the Soul. Steve is a singer/songwriter who has had over 500 of his songs recorded in the Christian, pop, and country music markets. He has been nominated for numerous Dove Awards and won Inspirational Song of the Year for the song I Will Follow Christ. Steve has had 9 #1 Contemporary Christian Songs as well as 45 top ten singles throughout his 30+ year career and we talk about all that during our conversation.
But of course, the main area that we focus on in this episode is his work with Music for the Soul, a 501c3 organization that uses the power of music to help individuals who have experienced trauma to navigate through the grieving process, or individuals who are currently dealing with sin in their own life to find the healing they are so desperately in need of. We talk about the science behind how music effects the brain and his book, Music for the Soul, Healing for the Heart that I highly recommend for anyone dealing with grief, addiction, and so much more.
