IEC ready for special votes

The drive to Wednesday's national and provincial elections goes a gear up with over 1.6 million voters who applied for special votes casting their ballots TOMORROW and TUESDAY. According to Electoral Commission of South Africa - IEC -, a little over a million special voters will visit voting stations where they were registered, while the remainder will be visited by the IEC's officers at their homes or places of confinement. Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal have the most approved special votes for both home visits and voting station visits with 335 000 and 320 000 special voters respectively. The time of operations for special votes is from 9am to 5pm. To tell us more about their readiness for special voters Bongiwe Zwane spoke to w the IEC's Electoral Operations Manager, James Aphane.
