More South Africans abroad cast ballots today as voting weekend gets off to a good start

Voting in the 2024 national elections at international voting stations started YESTERDAY and will continue this weekend. Registered voters in mainly Middle Eastern countries cast their ballots yesterday and the rest of the world - some 102 countries - will vote TODAY. London, which has the largest number of eligible voters of any voting station with over 24 thousand registered voters, will also open TOMORROW. The IEC said voting stations will be open from 7am to 7pm local time at most foreign missions, except for in London, Washington and New York, which will be open from 7am to 9pm. Meanwhile the Democratic Alliance, through it's DA ABROAD network has been actively galvanising South Africans based in different parts of the world to register and vote in this election.
