Jake Kaplan, Astros beat reporter for the Houston Chronicle, joins The Weekly Brew to discuss the Astros heading into the second half of the season. Kaplan breaks down expectations for the club as October nears, the health of the rotation, potential postseason matchups and whether or not Houston will make a move ahead of the non-waiver trade deadline to solidify the starting rotation and bullpen. Julian Mark Kheel, a senior writer for The Points Guy and a former TV producer and director for the WWE, does it all. Kheel joins the podcast to share his thoughts on how our listeners can maximize their travel, why frequent flyer programs are losing their value, and how foreign airline carriers are leaving United, American and Delta in the dust. Also, Kheel discusses TPG’s Points for Peace initiative which brings positive change to groups, communities and individuals around the world and inspires change through education and action. Austin and Jeremy are joined in studio this week by co-host Hunter Atkins and frequent contributor Derek Fogel (not related to Jared). The guys question Jeremy’s passion for Game of Thrones, discuss the implications of the latest Russian connections to the Trump administration, and Roger Federer’s dominance at Wimbledon.
