King Solomon is considered one of the greatest kings in Israel. He was a gifted man. A man God gave a blank cheque and asked him - “what would you have me do for you”. A question that revealed a type of favour, where heaven is eager to do anything just for you. The man never asked for so much. He asked for wisdom. That was surprising. Many would have asked for riches or the conquest of enemies. He did not. But rather wisdom to serve. A long who want to serve. Today, it’s difficult to find servant-leaders. People, including some Christians see positions and leadership as an opportunity to receive service instead. God gave him wisdom and more. But unfortunately Solomon had a weakness he did not deal with. He loved strange women. A passion that seemed so harmless. But it is the little foxes that spoil the vine; the vines with tender grapes. Precious one, every one and the pulse that drives him. Or the motivation that keeps him awake. Some it could be money, fame, public acceptance, etc. However, if God is not our ultimate passion any other passion can drive us from God. Further, some of us are driven by pulses that seems so insignificant as a child of God - unforgiveness, lying, envy, jealousy, pride, hatred or bitterness, taking things which do not belong to you, etc. These are little foxes. If you don’t deal with them, they will lead you far. Taking small things which do not belong to you will eventually lead you to taking big things which belongs to a nation. It all starts small. How can you deal with these little foxes? First, talk about them; don’t suppress them. Confide in someone matured in the faith. Once you are open about the problem you are half way through solving them. Secondly, confide in the Holy Spirit to strengthen you to live above these passions or little foxes. Thirdly, always remind yourself that you are complete in Christ Jesus. Therefore you don’t have to do the wrong things to have, to become. All you ever needed is in Christ. This episode will bless you like never before. Remain blessed
