In today’s episode of the Zeitcast Jonathan sits down with guest Dr. Alexander Shaia as they discuss Alexander’s book Heart and Mind- The Four Gospel Journey For Radical Transformation. In this fresh lens, each gospel account is more than a telling of Jesus' life and words. Each is the story of a practice in response to a the journey of life. And these four gospels are more than the sum of their parts. The four in the sequence of their ancient reading cycle form a telling of the universal journey of growth, transformation and love.

Dr. Shaia was born and raised as part of a Lebanese community in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended Notre Dame University where he received a degree in Cultural Anthropology. Next came a Master’s in Counseling Education, a Master’s in Religious Education, a graduate certificate in Pastoral Psychotherapy, and a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology.

He is the author of several books including the soon to be re-issued Radical Transformation- The Four Gospel Journey of the Heart and Mind.
