Parkin is a Professor of History at Monmouth University and the Jules Plangere, Jr., Endowed Chair in American Social History. She is the author of Food is Love: Advertising and Gender Roles in Modern America (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2005) and Women at the Wheel: A Century of Buying, Driving, and Fixing Cars (University of Pennsylvania Press, 2017). Wailoo is currently the Henry Putnam University Professor of History and Public Affairs and former Chair of the Department of History at Princeton University. His latest book is Pushing Cool: Big Tobacco, Racial Marketing, and the Untold Story of the Menthol Cigarette (University of Chicago Press, 2021).
