• Naloxone becomes the latest life-saving medicine to experience massive price increase
• Rodrigo Duterte says he wants to use the military in his war on drug users
• National District Attorney’s Association forms marijuana policy advisory group
• Nova Scotia human rights commission says insurance must cover medical marijuana

Headlines:

• A group of researchers from Ohio University, the University of Texas, and the University of Tennesse are calling for increased research on the potential relationship, if any, between use of cannabis and dating violence on college campuses.
• In Israel, police report that arrests for marijuana possession have seen a sharp drop over the past five years, showing a more relaxed attitude in the country which has long been a leader in medical marijuana research.
• Maryland Del. Dan Morhaim, who was a guest on our show last season, has re-introduced his package of harm reduction bills, which includes emergency access to addiction treatment at hospitals, legalizing safe injection facilities in Maryland, and the decriminalization of all drugs.
• Maine Governor Paul LePage backed down off a veto threat and decided to sign a bill that delays the recreational marijuana market by a few months and closes a perceived loophole that some said would allow minors to use marijuana.
