In episode 31, Those Crazy Bible Study Guys see the progression of the Sermon on the Mount of going from renovation of your heart to building it through giving and prayer! Jesus knew we needed some help with prayer and, once again, he not only guides us but keeps it simple! It's not treating God as a genie in the bottle or to check a box that we prayed but pouring out of your heart having an open, honest conversation! Dale adds to the conversation by sharing the acronym ACTS (see below) as another way to help us with prayer. Join Those Crazy Bible Study Guys as they tap into the strength, wisdom and compassion of God through the power of prayer!

ACTS Prayer

  • Adoration - recognize, thank and be in awe of God.
  • Confession - lay it all out there to God to clean up and quit carrying those sins.
  • Thanksgiving - being grateful for all God has done and is doing in your life.
  • Supplication - being honest with God on your needs and the needs of others.

With the key here being God's will, not ours, be done!
