My guest in this episode is Dr. Sarah Wayland. Dr. Wayland is a parent coach, RDI Consultant, and Neurodivergent Resource Navigator. She holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology and has held positions at Northeastern University, University of Maryland School of Medicine, and University of Maryland’s Center for Advanced Study of Language. Dr. Wayland is passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals, both professionally and as a parent. She’s the founder and owner of Guiding Exceptional Parents (GuidingExceptionalParents.com), and hosts several online training programs, with her friend Penny Williams, at their online resource The Behavior Revolution (TheBehaviorRevolution.com). She is the co-author of Is This Autism: A Guide for Clinicians and Everyone Else, which was recently released in June (IsThisAutism.com ). We discuss a wide range of topics including her coaching profession, ADHD, Autism, the education system, and much more. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
