Are you old enough to remember when Ronald Reagan told an audience, "America's future rests in a thousand dreams inside our hearts. It rests in the message of hope in the songs of a man so many young Americans admire: New Jersey's own Bruce Springsteen. And helping you make those dreams come true is what this job of mine is all about."
Wow...Reagan had no idea what the song was even about and Springsteen called him on it. This month's episode glides along a similar path. We take a look at a variety of songs that either offer up misleading titles or the general public just flat out misinterprets...often times, very badly. We borrowed our title from the song originally written for and performed by the legendary Nina Simone, but probably most famously covered by the Animals.
Remember to grab a brew and get comfortable. Thanks for listening.
