International Forum webcast, which was held online on 17th December 2022 and organised by the Citizens’ Conference to Condemn Further Pollution of the Ocean (KOREUMI). Dr Makhijani discusses the technical details of flaws in the current treatment of waste from the Fukushima accident, institutional responses, and possible alternatives to deal with the waste.// Palestinian organiser Amal joined us to speak about the University of Melbourne’s adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, and its concerning implications for critiques of Israel. The Tamil Refugee Council will be holding a public demonstration outside the Sri Lankan High Commission in Canberra to commemorate the date and call for justice for Eelam Tamils and an end to military occupation.
