Electronic Frontiers Australia is a not-for-profit national organisation working to promote and protect digital rights.// Dhakshayini Sooriyakumaran, Director of Tech Policy at Reset Australia,speaks with us about how YouTube’s algorithms contribute to promoting misogynistic, anti-feminist and other extremist content to Australian boys and young men. Reset Australia is a think tank and research organisation working to tackle digital threats to democracy. Alongside their work at Reset Australia, Dhakshayini is a PhD candidate at ANU looking at the impact of technology in social welfare and border policing. Along with the pushback against new development on the Collingwood estate, Joshua has been involved in community events and initiatives including the Collingwood underground roller disco and Dolphins Gym, a Bla(c)k queer gym partnering up with Koori pride.
