8th Grade Experiences World Culture Day

    • Holy Cross 8th graders embarked on a local and international cultural adventure today! The day started with a tour of Mardi Gras World, where the kids got to see the behind the scenes making of the floats, as well as partake in some costume dress up. Later, our students got to dress up in traditional clothing and serve cultural cuisine from all around the world while they presented their findings from research. The students did a fantastic job and really “dug in” on this assignment!

Tiger Cross Country Finishes 2nd in District 9-5A Championship

    • The varsity squad of our Tiger Cross Country team ran one of their finest team performances of the season finishing 2nd at the District 9-5A (Catholic League) Championship. Under heavy fire and intense pressure from a focused and fit pack of Tigers, Brother Martin squeaked away with the victory, a mere 11 points ahead of Holy Cross. In a sport where you score points equal to your place in the race, 11 points is a tight finish. We are very, very close.
    • Next up for the Varsity team is the Region 3-5A championship at City Park on November 3.
