Pass the Mic Part 3 - January '24

In this episode, Scott is joined by Greg Snow, Gabriel Angrand, and Sergine Citerme for the final episode of the “Pass The Mic” Ripe Poetry Tour mini-series. The tour ran from January 17th-20th, 2024 and included four Pennsylvania stops in Harrisburg, Indiana, New Castle, and Philadelphia respectively. This episode focuses on the last stop of the tour (Philadelphia) on January 20th, 2024. Parts one and two of this “three-part episode” are out now as well.

The episode begins picking up right where we left off in part 2 with the trip from New Castle back to Philly. Scott shares some of the challenges that were going on within his family as the team split up to drive separately back home to Philly.

Throughout the early part of the episode the team talks about other challenges related to one of the Local Spotlights needing to cancel due to a concussion, navigating logistical concerns for the in-building location for the show, and the excitement we all shared to welcome Jayla (Miss Spoken Poet) back for the final stop.

In the latter parts of the episode, the team focuses on the show itself. Again we talk at length about the open mic to begin the show & we also focus in on the musical local spotlight, the Ripe Artist trio, everso. We chat mainly about Jayla's performances, our set overall, and the worship/altar call we did to close the event.

As we wrap up the conversation each of the guests shared about the way the entire tour impacted them overall and what their individual takeaways from the tour were. Thank you for tuning in!
