När Per Uhlén var 14 år och hårdrocksgitarrist bröt han ryggen i en MC-olycka. Några år senare byttes drömmen om att bli rockstjärna ut mot en akademisk karriär. Per är utbildad inom teknisk fysik på KTH och har även läst biologi, som han doktorerat i. Efter ett flertal publicerade vetenskapliga artiklar är han nu professor och leder en forskargrupp på Karolinska Institutet.
