This is a special episode because I get to chat with Joe Tinius, or as I call him, dad. He had some unique influences in his life, was a high level athlete in college, and then spent 38 years in education as a teacher, administrator, and superintendent. The first chapter provides the bookends as he shares his philosophy as an educator and early influences in his life before his arrival at Western Kentucky University. In the second chapter, we talk mostly about his experiences with the cross country and track field programs at WKU, where he ran with and against Olympians and was part of a national runner-up team.
