A trio of original monologues inspired by the theme ‘Dirt.’

Join hosts Daniella Down and Sairah Erens on an audio adventure. In this episode, the three monologues couldn't be more different! From an incredibly strong woman who endures more dirty dealings than anyone should have to in an Irish prison, to a librarian who can’t help but dish the dirt — not even the fictional characters on the pages are safe, to hearing some down-right dirty gossip about an affair from the most unlikely of sources.

A quick content warning before we start. This episode contains some descriptions of female harassment and abortion. Listener discretion is advised.

Monologues

  1. ’Second Class Republican' written and performed by Jacqueline Nolan
  2. ‘Dishing The Dirt' written by Hugh Mackay and performed by Cathy Leung of Amsterdam’s English radio station, Broadcast Amsterdam
  3. ’Spider' written and performed by Chauncey Meeks Owens
