UK CPI inflation rose to a three-year high of 2.3% in February, data released today showed. Rising inflation usually puts pressure on the central bank to raise rates. Will the BOE raise rates this year?

Presenter Zak Mir says all eyes are on the Carney speech as the markets want to know the level of inflation beyond which the central can no longer stand pat.

Mir says the fact that US markets have flattened near record highs is an achievement in itself, but warns there is certain amount exhaustion due lack of Trump’s tax plan details.
