**Show Note**

To be Catholic is to transcend any political party. No political party on either end of the aisle will ever fully represent God's perfect love for His people, as Scripture and the Church's teachings do for us. This is especially true because political parties and what they stand for can change as the centuries change. As Catholics we are called to participate fully in society and to be a witness to Christ in all that we do -- to serve, to love, to look out for those in need/the vulnerable, to carry our cross, to lead others to Christ. Therefore, we are are called as Catholics to individually discern with God and to vote according to our moral conscience, based on the teachings of the Church and what God has revealed for us in Scripture.
