The Woods Have Eyes - with TheCrescentHare
Manage episode 362724668 series 3277815
Christina shares her childhood initiation into high strangeness, leading her down a path of UFO research and a Man in Black encounter!
Witnessing an image of the Flatwoods Monster in a tabloid at an early age initiated Christina into a world of the weird, where otherness is the norm and rules are non-existent. A later teenage psychedelic experience in the forest left a permanent impression that there is much more to nature, and reality itself, than what we can see with our naked eyes.
We discuss the effects of childhood trauma in predisposing us to the world of high strangeness, the role media and books play in nurturing and empowering our sense of otherness, the influence of psychedelics in shattering our sense of reality, and the abandonment of our childhood beliefs which paves the way to a more holistic understanding of The Other.

Huge THANK YOU!!! to The Crescent Hare, a.k.a. Christina (actually a barn owl in "human" disguise) for bravely sharing her traumatic experiences, and putting up with my elaborate interrogation! ❤️
