Welcome one and all!!! This weeks guest is someone I've known for many years and had the pleasure of being in not one, but THREE bands with over the past decade and change. Booms is total legend of the Cambs music scene, having played with a plethora of bands on bass as well as Riffing the roof off once he switched to guitar. He's now swimming more mellower waters these days, going under the moniker Old Man Boom, playing his darkly sinister tunes on banjo, giving his latest musical project a delicious 'If Tom Waits settled down in St Neots with a wife and a dog, this is what he'd sound like....' twist. Marc brings his 'A' game when it came to selecting his 5 tracks to go into discussion and as you'll see we dart from country classics, to black metal, Nu progressive folk, heavy-as-shiiiiiiit post rock and onto legendary songwriting troubadours. It's a cracker of a natter and Marc's passion for the music shines through each of the stories behind each choice. Here's a lovely little playlist to accompany the episode, courtesy of those #industrykillers with iffy spots...... https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5TrYsKXagsD2hHFIwS3i4Y?si=9A_YUQNTQZmp3hGkCrmbXQ&utm_source=copy-link&dl_branch=1 --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/trackonesideonepodcast/support
