Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm 27:14

Feel stuck in a place, job, relationship? In a difficult situation? What’s the plan? Wait on the Lord.

  1. “On the Lord” is the most important part of that encouragement - not your plan, but His.
  2. Wait - trust, obey, listen, learn.
  3. Wait doesn’t mean “do nothing”
    1. You can work while you wait
    2. Grow deeper - Jer. 6:16 - ask for the ancient paths and walk in them
    3. Serve others - look around at how you can help others…
    4. Be confident (vs. 3) - decision, not a feeling
    5. Don’t walk to the right or to the left - don’t take a misstep
  4. Let the Lord strengthen your heart - waiting is preparation time for the next opportunity/challenge
  5. Waiting on the Lord isn’t easy - “be of good courage” - it takes courage to wait, to trust the Lord
  6. Life is a series of seasons - just because this season is tough, doesn’t mean that you’re not growing and getting ready for next season…
