Harry Kraemer is the former chairman and chief executive officer of Baxter International, a multi-billion-dollar global healthcare company. He is a professor of management and strategy at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is also an executive partner with Madison Dearborn Partners, one of the largest private equity firms in the United States where he consults with portfolio CEOs. His third book is “Your 168: Finding Purpose and Satisfaction in a Values-based Life.”

In this podcast Harry shared some war stories of tough decisions he had to make as a CEO. He shared his 40-year long practice of self-reflection and questions he asks himself every day. We also spoke about the importance of values in helping align stakeholders when tough decisions need to be made.
