For translators who don't know, XLIFF 2.0 has been around since 2014 and would allow translators to work in their tool of choice, as opposed to getting "locked-in" to any particular tool. We discuss the details of XLIFF 2.0 for translators along with some of the reasons why it hasn't been implemented across the industry.
