Parkhill is CEO for STOPit Solutions, a provider of school safety & mental health solutions for K-12 schools. Kerrie Ackerson is the Neurosequential Trauma Project Director at CESA 10 in Wisconsin, the Director of Government Affairs for STOPit Solutions, and the creator of the HELPme app. She has a background in juvenile corrections, adult and juvenile mental health programs, and school safety. Over the past 20 years, Kerrie had a wide range of positions that help her understand child and adolescent behaviors, services and programs, and state and federal funding. At eight years old, Kerrie was saved by a teacher after her oldest brother was killed by another teen. Kerrie believes passionately in education and justice system reform, and the importance of one caring adult. Kerrie has been a foster parent to five beautiful Black children, a guardian of two Indigenous toddlers, and a mom to an independent homeless teen boy who is now a healthy 20 year old. Kerrie and her husband live in Eau Claire, WI.
