Tronus is a Barcelona based techno project with a unique, intense and emotive sound. Work defined by an unbound vision of music that mirrors a philosophy built up around the lives of Albert Díaz and Víctor Quintana. An evolution from classical techno rawness into a cutting-edge complex sound, layered with hypnotic harmonies, rich atmospheres and unforgiving bass lines. Since their debut album 'Infra LP' in 2017, every release has been supported and charted by top techno artists around the globe such as Laurent Garnier, Len Faki, Abstract Division, Answer Code Request, Antigone, Arnaud Le Texier, Boston 168, Charlotte de Witte, Deepbass, Flug, Francois X, Paul Ritch, Takaaki Itoh, Sam Paganini, Shlomo, and Richie Hawtin, who selected 'Protos' as one of his Top Ten tracks of 2017 for BBC Radio 1. Insert, which at the time was a benchmark club for Barcelona's modern techno renaissance, quickly snapped them up as residents in 2018. Their intricate and expressive Hybrid Set also got them into some of the city's top venues such as Razzmatazz and Moog. Far from putting their machines down, the duo went on to debut at Berlin's Griessmühle, Brunch in Barcelona, and landed another residency at Rezonanz Club, hosted by Flug as well as becoming regulars at Anika Kunst’s Selectors and Input High Fidelity Club. Aiming to give a safe space to the city’s underground scene endangered by the mainstream clubbing industry, in 2023 they co founded RUSC, a private techno club with invitation-only and no-advertising policies where underground, old-school and experimental artists can thrive away from the social media age constrictions. Today Tronus keep working their way into the future through a vision of techno as a musical avant-garde, hi-tech art and experimentation.
