The owner and manager of the fabled Jimmy’s Music Club grew up in French Quarter bars owned by his former prizefighter father. As a delivery boy, Jimmy knew all the Quarter luminaries, from restaurant maitre’ds to the dancers at the strip clubs. His namesake nightclub served as ground zero for punk rock, R’n’B, and roots music acts. Tonight Jimmy joins the Troubled Men for a stroll through the teenage wasteland. Watch your step.

Topics include the Red Rockers’ reunion recap, people who died, Dave Turgeon/Dee Slut, a string of drummers, slam dancing, an injury, Jeff Landry’s transition team, Trump’s enemies list, a gun campaign, a meth bust, handicapped parking, “Now and Then,” Yoko, a hide and seek winner, anti-Italian prejudice, a boxer father, the Little Blue Room, the Mardi Gras Lounge, Jimmy King, the French Quarter in the 1950s, King’s Barbecue, a delivery boy, a waitress mother, a Vietnam-era naval tour, Papa Joe’s, Freddy Fender, Little Joe Lambert, big money, B girls, TAC Amusement, Co-ed’s, Quasimodo’s, the Normals, the Cold, Los Lobos, Gregg Allman, Iggy Pop, Levon Helm, John Candy, dumpster photo art, and much more.

Break Music: "When You're Smiling/The Sheik of Araby" from "The Call of the Wildest" by Louis Prima with Keely Smith and Sam Butera and the Witnesses

Outro Music: "Almost Ready" from "Vacation To Nowhere" by the Normals
