Thirty-one years after Betty Broderick killed her ex-husband Dan and his new wife, Linda, her story still fascinates us. We covered this case back in June 2016. Since then, we continue to get feedback on Betty every week. So, of course we had to watch the new mini-series on USA network. And it is such a great fix for true crime addicts. Amanda Peet brings Betty to life as a tragic and righteous woman while Christian Slater is a very believable passive-aggressive Dan Broderick.

The real fun of the series may be how we get to see Betty in her early years as a daughter, wife, and mother, and in her later years as she struggled with betrayal, gas-lighting, and, in the end, her own homicidal rage. There are moments when Betty is sad, mistreated, and rightfully angry. But the series always brings us back to see Betty as an unstable person who killed two people in cold blood. So much to talk about!
