]In 2008, Larry and Carri Williams, a fundamentalist Christian couple from Washington, adopted eleven-year-old Hana Alemu and seven-year-old deaf boy Immanuel from Ethiopia. But instead of providing a loving home, the parents subjected them to unimaginable abuse and neglect while sparing their seven biological children.
