Join Katie and Liz on another installment of their mini-episode series, in which they discuss cases involving people of color who just do not get enough attention from media or law enforcement. Katie kicks off the episode by sharing the details of the senseless murder of grandmother Deanna Pugh out of Hartford, Connecticut in 2007. Then, Liz tells the story of the mysterious murder of 17-year-old Nereida "Nettie" Melendez, who was killed on the day she was supposed to graduate from high school in 1989. Both cases remain unsolved. Anyone with any information on the murder of Deanna Pugh is asked to please call Lieutenant Scott Sansom, commander of the major crimes division, at (860) 527-6300, Ext. 5230, or the department's confidential tip hot line at 860-527-TIPS. Anyone with any information on the murder of Nereida "Nettie" Melendez is asked to please contact the Unresolved Homicide Unit at (508) 799-8651. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/truecrimene/support
