True Crime Time Episode 35, What do you Call a One Legged Serial Killer?

First of all allow me to apologize for the “choppy” sound and the noise in some parts of the podcast, I got a little over enthusiastic with removing silence and made it a little rough,plus we are using new sound equipment and need to do a little more practice with it.On the plus side it will only get better.

In addition to the true crime news this week we have the story of Aileen Wuornos, the famous female serial killer.

I must confess that at first I thought she did not really fit the definition of a serial killer. But it turns out if you read the official criteria for being considered a serial killer, which you can find on the FBI website, she is.

We also used information from The Life and Death of a Serial Killer, a documentary you can find on YouTube. The halftime audio is an interview the creator of this documentary, Nick Broomfield, did with Aileen from jail.

We also mentioned the book Dear Dawn, I must confess I have not read it but the reviews seem to be good. And at least at the end of her life Dawn seems to be the one friend Aileen could count on.
