Hey it’s Luke! In this episode we talk about The Grindmother, Pink Carnage, saying “Fuck you!” To major labels, SKOG, and then we speak to Doug Brown, the film director of the movie “Slave to the Grind.” The Grindmother is a 67 year old Canadian woman who released her own single, called “Any Cost” after she heard her sons band. She fell in love with aggressive music after hearing them play one day. She does the vocal part and her son’s band does the rest. She is set to release her own album sometime in 2016. Do look forward to that, and thanks to her for letting me play it here! Pink Carnage is a one man Grindcore/Extreme Metal band from the mind of Chris Macdonald. He has released several album and EP’s and is currently signed to Grey Water Collective, the label owned by T.S.F.U.’s very own Shawn Peck. Be sure to go check out his bandcamp as well as GWC’s as well. You will NOT be disappointed. I have always hated the modern music industry. All it is, is a way of gaining money for playing shitty songs you spent 20 minutes on. Music loses so much when money is involved. I personally want to say fuck you to a lot of musicians and a lot of labels. I feel as if most music, like politics, should not be funded by big corporations, but just show sales and merch… Because let’s be honest… Who the hell buys CD’s anymore? SKOG is a Swedish dude who created a Music pack for the wonderful game, Counter Strike: Global Offensive. I play his band FEARED, and it is a fucking shred fest of awesome. We discuss a bit about him, and how he will be on the show in a few episodes as well. Finally we talk to Doug Brown, and Indie film maker from Canada. He has a whole lot to say about the Underground, Grindcore, Musicians, and his overall life. It’s a wonderful little chat, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed talking with him.
