Ram Das Batchelder was born in Pennsylvania, USA in 1961. His spiritual awakening began at age 21 with the unusual experience of meeting an angel. After going through a period of delusion and an addiction to marijuana, he spent some time exploring “A Course in Miracles” and tantric sex. In 1987, when he was 25, he met Amma, his Guru, and moved to her ashram in India two years later. He recorded dozens of devotional songs to Amma, and wrote 2 full-length plays that were performed during Amma’s tours in the US. During his long pilgrimage in India he has met many other Saints and Gurus, and seen many miracles. He has written 5 childrens’ books, 2 spiritual novels, and an autobiography, “Rising in Love,” which has over 130 5-star reviews on Amazon.com, and has also been published in Spanish. He continues to live in Amma’s ashram in Amritapuri, India, and is sending you love and a hug right now!
