Now that things are calming down and we are able to gather in groups again things like trade shows, home shows, and hot tub events are starting to pop up. We will discuss whether it is a good idea or not to purchase at one of these events. So join us as we do episode 23 of the podcast Tub Talk with The Hot Tub Lady.
Wanda Hild Today's guest is the owner along with her husband Jason of Sweetwater Hot Tubz in San Antonio TX. I asked Wanda to tell us a little bit about herself :
I Have been in the Industry since 1989
My husband Jason started Sweetwater in 1983
on my birthday! and we had not even met yet
LOL
He started literally with a small pickup and a pole and a bucket of chlorine
We did pool service and repairs until 1995 when we purchased a building
and office space. The gentleman that we bought it from had a small
retail store since the early 70's
hen in 1999 we started selling Caldera Spas.
This was before Watkins bought Caldera
We started out doing Home and Garden Shows and then leased another
space specifically for Hot tubs.
In 2008 we opened our second showroom and in 2010 we opened our
third showroom.
So we survived Y2K, the recession of 08, and COVID in 2020
and sadly the building we bought in 1995 was destroyed by fire
in December 2021. A competitor in town was retiring this year
and we have moved into a new office/showroom in 2022.
Next year we will celebrate 40 years in Business
