This week on #TubtaNabadda, we discuss the potential of sports for the empowerment of young girls. The first guest on the programme is Suad Galow, the founder of the Somali Women Foundation. Ms. Galow speaks about the role of her organisation in promoting sports, the link between sports and gender equality, and empowering youth through sports. Our second guest, Gani Nor, a former basketball player, shares some personal reflections about changes in sports since she was an active player and what inspired her to come back home and work for the popularisation of women's sports in Somalia. The programme is presented in Somali by Ali Gutale and Faisa Abdi Warsame.
