This week on #TubtaNabadda, we share with our listeners more facts about Somalia’s cultural richness with a look into how local customs and dialects contribute to one common Somali heritage. We hear from Ibrahim Ali Aliyow, a scholar from Dabarre Community and a speaker of its local dialect, and Mohamed Ibrahim Mashaye, a traditional elder from the same community, as they share their community’s unique traditions and how these contribute to Somalia’s rich heritage. The guests also reflect on how cultural heritage is a source of information, inspiration and values passed from one generation to another. The programme is presented in Somali by Faiza Abdi and Mohamed Salad.
