Even with the Roughnecks on a bye week a lot happened in Tulsa soccer this past week, from the dominating play of the Athletics to the massive watch parties for the USWNT World Cup championship game.
This week the boys are joined by Laura Porth of the Tulsa Sports Commission. Laura is the operations specialist for Mohawk Sports Complex, the home of the upcoming US Youth Soccer National on July 21st - 26th. To volunteer for the event please visit the Mohawk Sports Complex website.
The coach of the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, Coach Steve Trittschuh, calls in to talk about his playing and coaching career with Zach. Trittschuh might be one of the most recognizable coaches in the USL, not only for his time as the assistant coach of the Colorado Rapids but also for his playing career. Trittschuh was the first American to play in the European Cup now known as the Champions League, playing for Sparta Prague in 1990 and 91. He also played for the USMNT from 1987 to 1995, during which he had 37 appearances and 2 goals.
