PUTTING CHRIST BACK INTO CHRISTMAS

TURNING UP THE GOSPEL WITH LADY T

As we enter into the Advent Season, we will, over the next few weeks, be looking at the true meaning and purpose of what we call the holy day of Christmas... the day that we set aside to celebrate the birth of our dear Lord and Savior Yahshua Ha Mashiach/Jesus the Christ. The word, ADVENT, is defined, from a Christian perspective, as being the heralded arrival of the Christ upon earth, and all of the events that led up to said arrival. This year advent came in on Sunday, November 30th, yesterday and will continue until December 21st, the Sunday before we commemorate the birth of Yahshua Ha Mashiach. Advent is marked by a spirit of anticipation, preparation, expectation and longing. In spite of the bad news that we hear repeatedly around the clock, on radio, TV, and throughout the internet, there is still hope in this weary land. People are killing and looting and seemingly getting away with all soughts of evil and immorality. Advent, and the birth of our precious King in a stable bed, over 2000 years ago, reminds us that light still can shine bright amidst darkness... leading us to a better day, and a more hopeful way. We will also be going to go over the Christmas wreath and the four candles of Advent, placed within it. Each candle has a beautiful reminder of way Christmas is such a special time of the year.
